Our Focus Areas

iKnowFarm's work concentrates on three areas: Agriculture, Digital Literacy & Markets

Focus Area #1

Agricultural extension services

iKnowFarm is focused on providing small-scale farmers with access to the knowledge and resources they need to improve their farming practices and increase their productivity. This includes information on crop and livestock management, pest and disease control, and post-harvest handling. We also provide same day delivery of qulity and certified agro-inputs directly to farmers and NGO beneficiaries.

Focus Area #2

Promoting digital literacy

iKnowFarm recognizes the importance of digital literacy in today's world, and is committed to helping small-scale farmers develop the skills they need to use technology to their advantage. This includes providing training on how to use the iKnowFarm mobile application, as well as other digital tools that can help farmers improve their farming practices and access new markets.

Focus Area #3

Market Access and Linkages

iKnowFarm is committed to promoting market access and linkages for smallholder farmers. We believe that by facilitating access to markets, farmers can not only improve their incomes, but also contribute to the development of a more sustainable and resilient food system. To this end, we provide information and training on market opportunities and strategies for accessing markets, as well as work with local organizations and businesses to create linkages between farmers and markets. Our goal is to help farmers overcome market-related challenges and thrive in their farming endeavors.

Focus Area #4

Promoting gender equity

We are committed to providing training and resources tailored to the specific needs of women farmers, and working with local communities and governments to address the gender-based barriers that women farmers may face.

Focus Area #5

Fostering collaboration

iKnowFarm understands that no single organization or individual can solve the complex challenges facing small-scale farmers on their own. That's why collaboration is a key focus area for the organization. iKnowFarm works closely with local governments, NGOs, and other stakeholders to ensure that farmers have access to the support and resources they need to succeed.

Sustainable Development Goals

iKnowFarm supports the achievement of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals)

SDG 1: No Poverty

iKnowFarm aims to empower small holder farmers, who are often among the most vulnerable to poverty, by providing them with the knowledge and resources they need to improve their livelihoods.

SDG 2: Zero Hunger

iKnowFarm's main focus is on improving agricultural productivity and promoting sustainable farming practices, which are crucial for ensuring food security and reducing hunger.

SDG 5: Gender Equality

iKnowFarm places a strong emphasis on gender equality and women's empowerment, recognizing that women are often the primary food producers and are therefore critical to achieving sustainable agriculture and food systems.

SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth

iKnowFarm's work contributes to this SDG by providing smallholder farmers with access to knowledge and resources to improve their livelihoods, increase their productivity, and create market opportunities for their agricultural produce. By doing so, iKnowFarm helps to promote economic growth, increase employment opportunities, and support the development of sustainable and resilient rural communities.

SDG 13: Climate Action

By promoting sustainable farming practices and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, iKnowFarm is contributing to the global effort to mitigate the impacts of climate change.

SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals

iKnowFarm is committed to building partnerships and collaborating with other stakeholders, including farmers, NGOs, government agencies, and the private sector, to achieve the SDGs and ensure a sustainable future for all.
